This past friday was opening day for the local fair here in my area. I went to the fair only to see the opening day concert. The band opening the fair was Metalachi. They combine popular metal/rock songs with the playing style of the mexican musical tradition of mariachi. From the opening of Black Sabbaths, War Pigs to the closing with Reign in Blood by Slayer. The crowd was into it and singing along to the chorus of a few songs. The one thing I really enjoy about the band, Metalachi, is the way that the singer and the trumpet player interact with the crowd through out the show. A lot of jokes and ribbing from the guys. Afterwards they hung around to sign autographs and take pictures with every one that was in line, and I do mean everyone !
