Tristans Buddy Found Us

This guy was just a baby, maybe a bit older. More like a teenager, when we first saw him. A few years ago, right before Tristan's back legs started going out on him. I noticed him circling us from above while we were playing throw the rock already. He would follow us from electric pole to electric pole on some occasions, as we walked. Tristan never did pay much attention to him, but I always thought it was cool to see a red tail hawk. I have seen him a couple of times over the past couple of years, but not nearly as much. Always neat to see him. Usually, that is down in the dry river bed. Maybe he has been paying attention to us more than I thought. The other day when I was cleaning out all the weeds in the front yard, my sister came out and said, "what is with all the bird feathers?" Then, a couple of days ago. My brother spotted the red tail hawk taking off from our pine tree in the front yard, as we were all out front talking. He headed straight for the river bed. Had to be the same hawk that joined Tristan and I on walks from time to time. We came to the conclusion the hawk evicted the tiny birds that made their nest there. By evicted we mean eaten. I do not think he got them all because just saw two of the little birds land on the neighbors roof. They looked to be observing what was left of their nest. They bravely flew back into the pine tree and slowly made their way up to their foreclosed nest. The hawk surely must have taken corporate banking lessons.

You must have heard the saying - watched like a hawk. I didn't know such walking aids for dogs were available, very cool.

Neither did I lol. It was pretty neat, do not see many birds out here like that. Not in this area anyway, maybe the mountains.

Damn Red Hawk landlords. Always throwing the little birds out, not fixing anything, then jacking up the rent.

Ah, he is so cute there, he had such problems with people. He was definitely my dog. I hate people and he always had my back. The greatest thing about him was he was not a jerk. He hated people for a reason, as I do. He was the greatest judge of character i ever met. You, on that comment would have loved. He got out one time, was wondering around on the side walk and my friend spotted him, she never met him. She brought him back in the yard and he was the nicest i have seen to a stranger. He just knew people. Love that guy.

Those poor birds. Did they go and find another nest. Only the big birds survive in the kingdom of birds.

They seem to want to move back in that one. Not sure what they are thinking.
