Geeks, Nerds, and the Things We Geek for. What Sort of _____ Geek Are You?

Everyone is some sort of geek for one thing or another. There are those who are music geeks (gazillions of those, just so you know) but there are those who don't quite number in the trillions. To offer an example, while there are an infinite amount of literary geeks, how many of them are strictly horror geeks, or romance geeks, or twitching Lecter geeks? Are you one of the pretentious geeks who is uber picky regarding wine, or are you more than content to simply drink the wine you like? Are you more than content to gobble down a basic Mickey Dees cheeseburger, or does your geeky palette demand only gourmet burgers from the finest in the art of burgers? How many of you are sushi geeks, where you wouldn't soil your lips with grocery store sushi but are more than content to shell out the power bill equivalency for exquisite sushi? I tend to be rather geeky when it comes to knives, and it's intriguing to see how many fellow geeks I have out there. I do not have the strength of character to stain my pocket with a cheap pocketknife but yet I'll clap down my Visa for another Benchmade folder I'll likely never use for anything. It amuses me to see the heated debates with knife geeks as they strike and counter-strike over the benefits and construction between Benchmade and Spyderco. Oh, if you're not aware, these are high-end knives and quite nice, but can run well into the hundreds for one folding knife. Yeah. Ya gotta wonder about some people. Like me. How about those geeks when it comes to favorite shows, bands, characters, actors, and the like. I am endlessly amazed by the shocking descriptive fantasies when it comes to the lady fans of Jefferey Dean Morgan. Further, how many people have shelled out enough money to buy a tricked out Corvette but instead dropped it on KISS tickets? There are people who will risk life, limb and career to ensure they make it to the Super Bowl, every single year and regardless of what teams are on the field, no matter where the game is played. The comedian Gabriel Iglesias openly expresses deep appreciation for the handful of fans who faithfully attend every show and follow him wherever he goes. Rock on, Fluffy! In what manner are you the ultimate Geek in Geekyville in the Kingdom of Geekdom?

I'm afraid I'm too boring to be admitted to Geekyville.

I've actually never thought myself to be geeky in any way before but I'd say I'm a Biblical geek. That doesn't mean I'm religious though. I found this post by M.L.'s comment.
