a bigger world, please!

The little girl stared out of the window.
Mummy, are those builders back there helping to make the world bigger? she asked.
How adorable is that? They're not building houses, they're building a bigger world! But I knew, and her mummy knew, what she meant.
Wouldn't it be brilliant if, instead of building more homes for an ever-expanding world population, we could simply build more room onto the Earth?
Little nippers often have the best ideas.

It was very cute. I hope her mummy remembers to tell her about it when she's older!

@Poppylicious I am sure she will. It is nice to write those things down in a journal.

neat idea, we could probably build a whole planet from the lego bricks we have alone

@Poppylicious it would be great - if we dislike the view we could easily reassemble it

Imagine what a mess of things humans would make if they could add on to the planet? Yikes.

The planning applications, the disagreements with neighbours, the issues with access to light, the 'not in my backyard brigade', all ending in shoddy workmanship and in ten years it all blows over following a minor tremor in the middle of the Pacific ...

Oh, gosh no. It could never actually happen. That would be insane!

That is the most precious question ever!
It would be nice if the world could actually expand and not just over fill.

It would ... there would be more countries to visit and more land for much-needed resources. :)

Or, there's an easier way to stop the ever-expanding population of this earth...require mandatory birth control! haha
All kidding aside, isn't it amazing how little children see the world through a completely different lens than us adults? It's amazing the innocence of little children!
