Two days before the start of the opening of the free agent market the Carolina Panthers have re-signed their defensive lineman Charles Johnson to a two year, $9.5 million dollars.
Johnson who has played his entire career in the National Football League with the Panthers since he was as a third round draft choice in the 2007 National Football League Draft out of Georgia wanted to stay with the Panthers.
Carolina Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman did not want to lose a member of the defensive line to free agency which was a reason that Johnson was re-signed to a two year contract on Tuesday.
I am sure Gettleman will be second guessed by his critics for re-signing Johnson who has missed 10 games in the last two years due to injuries.
The Panthers know that having a strong pass rush will keep them in contention to get back into the playoff chase in the 2017 football season.

Yes it seems that way since the Panthers want to have a great pass rush for 2017.
