To quote some of the 6th chapter of the book of Ephesians in the Holy Bible:
Put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground....with the belt of truth...the breastplate of righteousness....with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace....the shield of faith...the helmet of salvation...and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
We're all at war, not with each other, but with the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Open our eyes, Lord.

We really are exposed to evil when we fail to put on the whole armor of God.
