Where are the napkins and the spork??

I know other countries have take outs/take aways, but do they have drive through fast food places? Most of the time, any take out/away, whether on foot or in a car, includes all the necessary 'equipment' such as napkins and plastic utensils (especially the infamous sporks of KFC fame). Well, we just came from KFC only to discover that we have NO utensils with which to eat our sides or napkins to keep ourselves from becoming overly greasy.
I've noticed that this lapse has become increasingly frequent over the years, but KFC was one of the few who still remembered. Apparently, they've joined the rest in failing to offer what is necessary to keep one's car clean (not everyone makes it home before digging in). I understand keeping the utensils behind the counter inside because people were actually stealing them to supply their own kitchens, but to not provide them to a drive-through customer seems pretty darned chintzy when I know they have them.
Is this something happening all over or is it just here in NJ/USA? Fortunately, I had napkins in my desk or I'd be greasing up my keyboard something terrible right now. And I had an unopened plastic spoon for the potatoes.

I do hate not getting what is supposed to come with the food, but I love the convenience of the drive through. It isn't often that parking and picking up food is faster than the pick up window. Sometimes it is when it seems like everyone got hungry at the same time, but usually the window is faster. Not many eat inside the restaurant around here.

@Hannihar Yes. Sometimes there are two windows where one person takes the orders and the money and the other person collects the food and drinks and hands them to the driver. Other places, the one person does it all. But, behind them, others are cooking and packing the orders.

It's horrible. They just don't care!! I'm the type who WILL drive back around to get what I ordered, even if I did get ketchup packets thrown at me once because they didn't add it like they were supposed to in the order. That's when I call corporate or the day manager (if I was there at night) to report the employees. Or, they once laughed at me for ordering a skinny iced coffee. They (and the manager) didn't even know that was what it was called on the dammed sign!! I said whatever opinions you may have of a customer I can't control, but I can tell you that you had better control letting the customer know you're thinking that!!

I suspect the place you went to has poor management or lazy supervisors. Since you've already experience this bad service why not find another outlet next time or check to see if the proper utensils have been included before driving away. Unless this is a new directive from KFC as a way of cutting expenses to increase profits.
