Wawa vs Royal Farms

Where I live, Wawa has an almost cult-like following. Even my son and daughter-in-law in Utah will buy Wawa merchandise from their website to use out west (it's mostly in the Philadelphia metro area, but is also in Virginia and Florida). I love it. My daughter loves it. It's a lot like a cafeteria because you can buy hot or cold food, ready to eat, but you have to take it with you to eat it. No tables, not even outside, to sit and eat. Today, I got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Not truly authentic, but close enough and very tasty - seasoned chunks of chicken on my choice of roll (I chose whole grain) with cheddar cheese sauce (Whiz) and sauteed/fried onions. The only thing I had them add was black pepper. I also got a 44 oz diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper.
In Maryland and other southern-ish states, there is Royal Farms who also serves hot foods, but they have tables to sit and eat after you've bought your food. We stopped at one once last year while on our way to Elkton, MD to eat. We almost didn't go because the fried chicken at RF smelled so absolutely fantastic we almost ditched dinner plans. We are getting our first Royal Farms here just 1500 feet down the road from our local Wawa. I do love Wawa, but they don't have fried chicken. KFC isn't what it used to be, so I definitely will be trying this one out after almost succumbing to those wonderful smells we experienced in Maryland. They will also sell gasoline, coffee, Slushees, soda, and chicken by the meal. We got coupons for a 4 pc meal that includes "western fries" and a dinner roll. All of this plus the standard convenience store fare. I don't know how much like Wawa their other merchandise will be, but they appear to have a lot of their own branded items, so we shall see.
So, my question is this: who among my readers has been to a Royal Farms and how do you like them? If you've also been to a Wawa, how do they compare? I'm familiar with Maverick out west (potato logs, burritos, chicken fingers, among other fine hot offerings) and I suspect that Royal Farms is more like them than like Wawa. I'm also familiar with the remaining Cumberland Farms up in Connecticut which are more like our local Heritages (mostly two counties in NJ). But, I'd like to know more about Royal Farms. Pros? Cons?

@scarlet_woman I know she wouldn't buy them if they were. So, they must do them right. I think being left on those roller grills can dry them out, but left in a steamer box doesn't quite so much.
