Finding ways to destash my art and craft supplies :-)

Not too long ago, I felt so deprived for not having enough art and craft supplies. But since local stores have stocked up and began selling the stuff that I wanted, I found myself with a huge stash. Add to this collection the items that friends and family generously gave and continue to provide. Sure, I've shared much with my kids. But I realize I can't use all of them and I'm afraid they'll just gather dust here.
To share the love, I thought of creating journaling/scrapbooking packs that I can sell for a really low cost. I've mentioned the idea to some people and they liked it. More than half the price of each pack is actually to just cover postage and handling. The little "profit" that I'm getting is just for the effort of putting them all together. What really excites me is the thought of distributing much of what I have to those who might need or want them. And, of course, the idea of sending packages through mail. Mail art is something that I've been wanting to explore for some time now. I'm hoping that I get to enjoy it too while I destash my huge clutter.
Do you also have a collection that you might need to destash?

No collection really to destash in my case.
Feel free to send me a DM here in myLot, I'm interested in getting one of your arts and crafts packs.

That's good to know. I hope I develop that habit of decluttering on a regular basis.

Big time right now due to trying to sell on Amazon and it being a flop for me at this time. I have so much stuff I need to sell and recoup some of my losses but not sure it is going to ever happen

You may want to participate in Facebook groups that involve swapping, resell, and destash. I'm a member of a local Facebook group page where members sell their stash at marked down prices just to declutter their homes.

@almostoveryou Great. Maybe some local mylotters will be interested in them.

Indeed. I have actually shipped out a few pens and stationery to a friend. I hope to find more creative ways to destash this summer. :)

I have a lot of art supplies but I use them daily. I paint on slate and sell it in local stores. I think you have a good idea, Journals are fun and so important to use to keep your history. I also like idea of scraping booking and my children did that as they grew up.

@almostoveryou i paint every day or almost every day and my stash is constantly added too as I use up my paints. When I buy paint I usually buy a new brush or two but i can't seem to get rif of the old ones...

I think it's okay to have a lot of supplies as long as you consume them. I am now in the process of limiting the kind of supplies that I need and trying to focus on a certain medium and substrate.

I know the feeling!! I ended up using the stuff for my kids' craft projects in school.
