The forgotten games we played which our children did not

It really sucks when I see children playing Cricket going to playground early in the morning, without taking their food hanging around bus stops to reach their destination only to play they favorite game. How much they enjoyed the game is a different story and we need not bother about it. we also do not know if they really played the game at all after reaching there or stayed outside watching the game being included in the list of EXTRAS, who only help the players to tie kneepad, leg guard, reaching to hand over the preferred bat asked for by the batsman. Let us leave it...it is their enjoyment But, I really feel sorry for those games which we really enjoyed. The list goes on with the names of games like Gilly Danda, Dicori, Hotchpotch, Poshampa, kancha, Pachisi, Hopscotch, hide and seek, Satolia, Chinese Checker, Carrom Board, Kith Kith, Pallanguli, rope jump, skipping etc., The present day do not even know the names of these games. They gave us good entertainment. I was sitting at home and was watching sometimes these games when they were played by elders and subsequently I was playing them at home along with my sisters and parents. They were all thrilling. Mother was leaving the game sometimes to prepare the tea and handing over the charge to one of us. Father was eager to win and we were taking sides and supporting them. There was full of laughs, shouts, cries...the whole atmosphere was echoing with sounds and clippings. Sometimes, our neighbors were coming and participating in the games. We enjoyed each and every game. We shared happiness with others and even with our neighbors which laid a solid foundation for personal relationships. Today we bring and purchase many toys like Teddy Bears, electronic gadgets, remotely operated toys like Jeeps, Cars, Helicopters etc., and ask them to take care of each of them and tell them not allow others to play with them. We ask them to remain at home and as soon as his play is over we keep and preserve them in an Almirah and hand over them only when he asks for them. Is there any use of these toys? Are they really sharing their happiness with others? Do we really teach them sharing their happiness with others? No...Never. We are teaching them how to preserve the item purchased meant for playing with others, instead of sharing them with others. We are making them selfish, possessive, and more greedy. Am I correct guys?

There has been a sudden shift with regard to kids' lifestyle and the blame goes to the digital world.

that photo in your discussion, that's one of our games when we were young. Its just so unfortunate that these games have become extinct because of the modern games from apps and nintendo.
