From "catch all" to "kitchen"

heh, I am rather proud of my title here.
Came across this and thought I would share it here. It's a history of what would become the kitchen.
Photographs featured as far back as the mid 1800's and as close as the 1970's. A lot of differences through the years but a lot of these are "coming back"
Pots and pans being "on display" for instance, or deeper sinks.

The link to the second page takes me to Ellis Island for some reason, but I have been in a lot of kitchens that look like those on the first page when I was a kid.

My bad! I copied the link before I started to view the slideshow. I must have hit copy again out of habit. I've edited the link so it should start at the beginning of the slideshow.
I remember an old stove that used to be in one of my grandmother's houses. It was an older one, and I think they said it was from the 1930's. I was about ten or so at the time, and absolutely loved the thing.
