How much damage can one cigarette do?

Today is exactly a year since my tipple bypass surgery. I stopped smoking the evening before surgery. Today, anxiety caught up to me as I am waiting to hear if I got the job I was interviewed for last Friday, and I just lit a cigarette. I know I am being silly, but how much damage can one cigarette cause to calm the nerves? Speak to me people!
