How to describe scenes from a visit?

Mainly there are two ways for describing scenes. One is to look around from one spot and put down what you see in all directions, and the other is to spot what you see along the way you go. Of course, in both ways, we should not give equal stress for all, instead focus should be laid on certain points, even with reference to related backgrounds.
