Former Dallas Cowboys defensive back Morris Claiborne signed a one year, $5 million dollar contract with the New York Jets on Saturday, Claiborne, 27, played five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys from 2012-2016 before his contract expired and he was allowed to enter the free agent market. The Baltimore Ravens had interest in signing Claiborne before he decided to play football for the Jets who are currently in a rebuilding mode. Claiborne will be replacing former New York Jets defensive back Darrelle Revis who was released recently. The catch is that for Claiborne to be useful for the Jets, he would to remain healthy for the entire 2017 football season.

For a football player that has a history of getting injured it is a good salary.
