You don't always have to pay full price for exercise equipment!

I bought a 2 foot piece of PVC and some thick bright yellow rope (I like yellow and it is more colorful that white or tan.) I drilled a hole through the middle of the pipe. Then I slipped the rope through the hole after tying the rope together. Now I can insert the rope through a weight plate and then put the PVC pipe through the loop. Now, I have a forearm exerciser that I made for a couple of bucks that is just as good as the ones that sell at the store for $17-20.

When I was in rehab for my shoulder, the therapist told me to use large size cans of soup to use for weights. They worked well.

@Coolpeace ~The local playgrounds also have equipment that you can use, if you're brave enough. For the most part, I'm to self conscience to do that. I am trying to overcome that.

You are very smart But in fact sometimes I think that doing the housework can also be a kind of exercises. Such as the monks from Shaolin Temple will hold buckets with water with their hands only. It works like the dumbbells

@youless ~I believe that house work can be good exercise, if you approach it correctly. I'm sure that there are websites for that. Basically, doing anything is better than doing nothing. I have heard and seeing a video that suggests that exhaling and sucking in or tightening your abdominal area for 30 seconds, three times a day helps to firm your abdominal area. I do 60 seconds per rep, sucking in every 10 seconds to be sure it remains tight. I am a procrastinator, a polite word for being lazy, so I"m still a work in progress.

@Ayuriny ~I bought the rope and pvc at a big box home improvement store. They drilled the hole in the PVC pipe for me for free.
