Sorry to anyone who was following this list and might have been wondering what may be at 1 on the list.. It has nearly been 2 months since I SHOULD have posted the result of the final band/song.. Which is probably predictable.. It is none other than Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana! What a great song, but also, I know probably lame of me to choose something so obvious. Also, sorry if anyone wanted a write up for the song.. I am being lazy haha.

I can understand completely why this song resonates with generation X, especially the line, "here we are, entertain us." That seems to have become the mantra of the US.
I do tend to like Weird Al's version better.

Hey Four, very good point there! I am of generation Y, but I do know that there are quite a bit of us that also like Nirvana as well, heh :) As for Weird Al's version, it is really quite funny, and Weird Al is always good music-wise as well I find!
