Poem - Sad

So smiling uses less muscles than frowning? In that case I get much more exercise Than any of you poor happy shining people. Try that philosophy for size! Instead of quoting from The Little Book Of Glib And Tawdry Patronizing Clichés Or see how many muscles my left hook Uses when I lose patience one of these days. If I’m wallowing in my self-pity, Plastic smiles that belong on a catwalk Supermodel trying to look all pretty Isn’t as helpful as stopping to talk With genuine warmth and sincerity Like you actually meant to be nice and kind to me. I rather like that, and it makes me want to tell people who tell me to smile, that my frown is part of an exercise routine and to leave me be, heh

@Jessicalynnt That is often what I say to people who tell me to cheer up - actually quite happy even at my most deadpan
