myLot: What makes a discussion interesting to you?

March 20, 2017 6:44pm CST
I know that the answer for sure is a sum of factors... But for you, what are these factors? Is it the title of the topic? Is it subject that contains the topic? Is it a well structured topic? Is it a short / long topic? Is it a topic that has pictures? Is it a topic that a few hints of irony? Is a funny topic? Is it a self-help topic? Is it a topic about food or drinks? As you can see, there are plenty of options...

I seem to like medium length posts, and mostly, things I feel I can comment on ... things that interest me. I know - that doesn't narrow anything down too much

*Ahem* The answer is a sum of factors... It would be difficult, nigh impossible, to answer your question completely. I guess the title is the first thing you see, so that's important. However, I must say that a misleading title could prove annoying. I would prefer honest titles. Of course, I would only choose topics I find interesting, and that would be a topic too big to discuss right now (read: I'm too lazy to enumerate at the moment ). Whether it's short or long depends on how lazy I am to read at the time. I would gladly read a long, interesting post when I'm in the mood for it. But of course, if your post is long, please use the enter key generously... (but perhaps not too generously... ). Pictures are fine whether they relate to your post or not, but the former is so much more satisfying. Funny? Nice. Self-help? Sure, why not? Food? I love food! Yum.

There are many things but most of them depend on my mood at the time, what is attracting me. My mood changes a lot so it depends on the day. Some days I will answer all discussions, other days very picky. It may not be about the topic at all. Strange I know.

I think its just the person, you like the person and find them interesting so you read what they have to say.

I like it when I learn something new. Or if there's good humor potential.

A good title is always best if you can conjure one. Discussions that are too long don't get a lot of reaction, it seems, but neither do those two liners. A photo adds a lot for me and humor is great.
