Another day...

For the last few weeks the roomie has been feeling really bad. She's barely been able to walk across the room without feeling totally exhausted and needing to sit down. We have been to the ear, nose and throat guy - nothing wrong besides some hearing loss. Went to the OB/Gyn, nope, nothing to do with that stuff. Went to the eye doctor, it was actually a follow up from the cataract surgery last year, but she asked, he said that the glasses couldn't do that, it wasn't the vision. Then, another already set appointment, with the vascular guy, and he said that it couldn't be the blockages she has in her neck. They weren't that bad yet. Some day, probably sooner rather than later, she'll have to have them dealt with, but not yet. Finally, our next to the last hope, was the cardio guy. Now, last fall she had a stress test, they knew of a 40% blockage around her heart, but 40% shouldn't be doing that. After being pushed, he agreed to do a heart thing, send the scope up and look at the block. That was Monday. She was awake during the procedure. They are in there doing stuff when he suddenly stopped and ran into another room. A few minutes later he came out and told her that the blockage was now at 80% and, because of where it was, she was going to have to have bypass surgery. They bring her to the room and she was going to have to lay flat and still for 4 hours. Meanwhile, they were going to try and figure out when she could have surgery. If they could've arranged it for Wednesday they would've kept her, but they couldn't. Before they sent her home, the doctor told her to take it easy, not to push it. We have an appointment on Thursday with the surgeon, we'll know more then. Oh, and if he hadn't found anything, then a neurologist was our final hope to find out what was going on.

Well, let's hope this gets resolved quickly. In the meantime, put a couple of purring kitties on her. Kitty purrs heal... ^..^

the kidney doc doesn't want the cats around here, so we have to be careful when they are, the dialysis port is always an open wound, even when it finally sealed up around the tube

I'm sorry your friend is going through that. To me, I'd think they would have been able to get them in that day or day after

I suspect that he wanted this particular doctor to do the job. When we mentioned his name to the kidney doc this morning, he was very pleased it was him.
