Journey To Remember.....

Tired and worn out with dragging feet
What a happy scene did her heart meet
They said "Bon Jour" a good part of them
They greeted us all with the warmth of the soul
You could feel it in the atmosphere as soon as you went in
The smell of the Breakfast was really there
Hunger and thirst were quenched as they treated you with care
For a smile and a caring attitude were always being dispensed
I miss that place everytime I go through
I cannot remember the name of it either but what can I do?
It was near to Paris somewhere along
I came out of there both renewed and strong
This is about an arduous Journey through France on a certain line of Buses and you stop at various places on the way.
Of all the places I stopped this was by far the best and they really made my day.
I did not care what it cost as the warmth and genuine care of those people would be welcome even to the most lost.
I would love to go back and leave them a big tip.
Perhaps I will find them again I really hope so.
You don´t meet up with many like that in life as you go.

My travels are few so I don't have many experiences to draw upon. I do recall pushy waitresses who demanded a bigger tip. But, that was only one bad experience.
I do recall being lost on the backroads of Maine. It was a foggy, rainy night and the exidiot and I found ourselves lost. Finally I convinced the moron to stop and ask for directions. A kindly woman, who was in here night clothes, told us to follow her. She told us which direction to go in once we got to the main road. She drove ahead of us to guide us. That was one of the best experiences I have ever had.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I don't like to get lost. Freaks me out a little bit. It gave me a boost knowing there are good people out there who will do anything to lend a helping hand.

A trust in life itself is what is hard to have sometimes but there are good people out there.
I have been very lucky in that sense.

Really I don´t know where we went only because of the Road Signs and that was easy to understand.
They were really nice people.
Never met any so nice as that anywhere.

I think it is a blessing too getting well treated by others.
Others got well treated and we were all hot and tired and worn out.

Hospitality at its peak is what you have described in your nice poem and perhaps in comparison to other places this you want to get back to. Do you think you will get another opportunity?

I don´t know really.
Its a really long journey up to there and I can´t remember which Road it would be.
Its not like in England where you can get to remember all the Road from here to China.

I know and it has happened to me in journeys. Meeting awesome people, for me, is far better than an awesome museum.

Its just an example of what really happened to me on a certain Bus in France.
Very hot weather and we were all tired and fed up and they gave us a new lease of life albeit it temporary.
I managed to get to Wolverhampton in one piece thanks to them.

Oh yes the only trouble is I have no idea where it is on the way to Paris.
I guess someone could tell me.
I wish they were all like them but we all know that its not like that everywhere.

It is really.
Most places you go to seem way too plastic like all the same decoration everything the same.
That place looked much the same from the outside but the inside was different and more comfy looking and the Food was inviting not the reverse.

What a good thing for you then as I was on a Bus that did the whole of France up to Calais and with two young Children.
So its really nice you found them as warm hearted as what I found those people.

Long journey and it was very hot.
I like to travel but be able to stop at other places that are nice and shady that was one of them.

I guess a good attitude of people surrounds us will make us feel at home and would always want to go back and give them the same warmth and goodness they showed us. God bless.
