Upside to Online Broadcasting - A New Era For Artists

March 22, 2017 11:09am CST
The amount of things we can do these days from the comfort of own home is really quite astonishing. Almost anyone can host an online broadcast, and the show is free for both the broadcaster and the viewers. This obviously comes with risks and dangers as it's become incredibly popular amongst teens, but it's also providing an opportunity for young people that the older generations definitely didn't have. If your a hard worker who can get their hands on a guitar, with the internet you can learn to play without having to fork out a bunch of money for an hour a week of lessons that barely keep your interest. Striving musicians around the world can now host their own live shows to start building a fan base without having to be signed by a big label. With so many people surfing the internet, it's not surprising that some broadcasters are becoming so well known that they're basically famous. What I love most about this new style of entertainment is that enthusiastic skilled people are able to share their talents without having a big corporation telling them what to wear, how to stand, or what colour or style their hair should be. These broadcasted live shows are possibly the purest form of entertainment that has ever existed. They have no commercials, they don't promote products unless they decide to do so on their own, and there's no producer or coach constantly pushing them to do better. Broadcasters are driven by their passion for what they do, and it's that kind of raw, untainted passion that brings beautiful music into the world. I have been lucky enough to spend some quality time chatting with a few truely inspiring musicians who write their own songs. They don't have videos on Much Music or MTV, and they've never been on the cover of the Rolling Stone, but I sure hope to be hearing new songs from these original artists for years to come. Check them out, if you like what you hear hit the thumbs up button and share the love in comments. Good feedback is always appreciated. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4zR4wuFpQD8 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYB3Z3rnm1A

My boyfriends son was broadcasting while playing video games here this weekend and while watching a movie. I am not comfortable with a kid doing that. No one needs to hear every conversation that goes on in my house.
