For The First Time In History

The US team is going to finals of the World Baseball Classic. They beat Japan yesterday 2 to 1 in a pitching duel. They will now take on Puerto Rico Tonight for the championships. It will be on the MLB Channel at 9PM ET, 6PM Pacific time. While this is the first time the US has made the finals in the WBC. This is only the 4th WBC they have had since they started it in 2006. Japan won the first two and the Dominican Republic won the last one, as they pretty much dominated everyone. I am not sure how the Dominican Republic is not in the finals this year because they had a stacked team compared to the US. They also had to come from behind to beat the US in an early round game. Anyway, we won the games we needed and our now in the finals. While the WBC is modeled after the FIFA world cup. It is not nearly as popular around the world. It was rated very high in Japan the first two years, and seems fairly popular in the Dominican areas. Now that the US is in the finals, maybe it will get a little more popular in the US, but most people do not seem to care. Anyway, good luck to both teams because they both are part of the US. So we cannot lose either way. Plus, Puerto Rico has Yadier Molina on their team and he is so fun to watch. If the US is to lose, he is the only person I would want to lose to.

I am also mystified that the Dominican was bounced from the second round with a 1-2 record with that All-Star lineup. Also that Venezuela with many name stars eliminated 0-3. And how the heck did the Netherlands make the semi's? Amazing Team USA made it to the finals considering not one ace starting pitcher.

All good points and sounds like you have been paying more attention to this than me. lol Baseball is funny like that I guess. Why so hard to win a championship in the MLB. Everything has to go just right Players have to heat up at the right time, no injuries and have great managing. I did not even know the Netherlands had a team until that showboat play highlight and Yadi threw him out. lol I also did not know many of the players on the US, especially from the pitching side, but they have been holding their own with the help of Adam Jones.

@crossbones27 Team USA has been starting Danny Duffy and Marcus Stroman who won't be confused with Kershaw and Scherzer.

I do also because the Dominican Republic was strong as heck and would suck if we did not win out surviving them. Either way, the US is represented whoever wins and of course Trump will take all the credit.
