Grand Oaks is Ready for the Majors - Yes. Grand Oaks is ready for major league baseball. The Yankees, the Dodgers, the Mets... You name them. Grand Oaks is going to win over them. If Grand Oaks finds itself behind in any a baseball game, all it needs to do is to switch ball fields and take the battle to "field number 2." No big deal, because there are two baseball fields side by side (in the same wide gully) If the players run out of baseball bats, they need only to scoot into the forest next to the baseball fields, break off a hefty pine branch and go back to home base, there to strive for another home run.Simple, right? The houses behind home base are far enough distant so as to likely never suffer a broken window from foul balls flying up from the baseball field. The biggest problems that I can see from my direct (and expert) observation - there are no grandstands for seating any spectators. I guess that is appropriate. There is also no entry gate to the spectator area, either. In other words, those baseball fans who desire to sit down while watching a baseball game are going to have to bring their own seating with them. (Also, there are no concessions, so all will have to bring their own hot dogs and soda pop.) But can't you just hear the cheering right now? "Go, go, Oakies. Give us a Grand slam for Grand Oaks !"
