Washington Nationals right handed pitcher Max Scherzer pitched in his first Spring Training game on Wednesday in a losing cause versus the St. Louis Cardinals.
Scherzer says his right ring finger that was injured late last season has completely healed and he is ready to make his Opening Day start on April 3, 2017 versus the Miami Marlins.
Scherzer is thankful that he will not be on the disabled list during the first month of the 2017 Major League Baseball season.
I am sure Washington Nationals manager Dusty Baker is happy to learn that his ace starting pitcher will be ready to make his Opening Day start in April.

The Nats are toast without Scherzer pitching effectively.
