Former New York Jets defensive back Darrelle Revis, 31, who is currently a free agent would like to play in his 11th football season with the defending Super Bowl champions the New England Patriots. Revis if is not signed by the Patriots is likely to retire since the Patriots is the only team that he could possibly play for after the Jets released him. Mike Lombardi who is close to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said that he was not impressed with the way Revis played on the video tape of football games he played for the Jets in 2016. It remains to be seen if Revis intends to pay a visit to the Patriots to see if he can a land a job with that team in 2017.

Looks like retirement for this guy though 31 is still fairly young.

That is true since the Patriots do not seem to be interested in hiring Revis due to age and his performance level falling down hard.
