I like games. I really do, but ... Every day I see a new free game app that is free but is limited in it's overall satisfaction, unless I opt to get more ... thus the + Offers in-app purchases option ... which can, by the way, end up costing me more in a few clicks of a mouse and instant access to my bank account and presto! I have just paid for a world cruise! Getting back to the subject at hand, just how much are you willing to pay for a Free Game app with Offers to purchase more in the game? The link below is from Business Insider online: What it boils down to is ... R U Willing to pay up to 24% more for in-app purchases than to pay for the full app outright? They say that the mobile consumer tends to be willing to do just that! Don't take it from me. Just read from the article I provided a link to. I personally, being a desktop PC user mostly, will be more unlikely to purchase a free game that requires in-app purchases so for that reason, I am out but in for buying the full game either online or in the box. I prefer most games in a box but even with the box, I often find that I can no longer rely on a CD or DVD disc to load that game and if I do in fact get lucky to get that solid CD disc, I most likely have to register the game online to get updates and for me, playing TheSims4, means I have to register not only with Origin but I must use Origin and be online to play or get updates to that game and the game no longer comes in a disc. You instead, get a key code number that you must register and enter online to download the latest version of the game. It's not like it was, just a few years before, when playing some games, you could be off line, play as you please, and only get updates when you wanted them. Now it is actually necessary to update your game either when you chose to do this or set to automatically update because unless or until you do this update, you will not be able to play your game period! Game updates, patches and game add-ons sometimes known by the term - expansion packs, take up more memory and cost more money but integrate themselves into the game so that builds up the game by providing extra features, themes, games inside of the game, and even user created extras are all nice and such but they do add up in cost accumulating over time and a once, one time game on a disc now becomes a year long online downloadable extra features thing that can end up costing you about as much as a good cup of coffee at a fancy coffee shop and perhaps enough to put your youngest kid through one year of college.
A new Gartner survey reveals that mobile users are more willing to spend money on in-app features than they are to pay to download an app in the first place.

I only pay for games that I buy the cd and load them in. That way if my computer crashes I still have the game.
