My favourite salad dressing is that which has mustard paste in it. I particularly like it in my Russian salad. I do not use mayonnaise but put it in curds and whip it up with enough sugar and salt
I use this dressing for my cabbage salad as well.
The simplest salad dressing is sugar, salt and vinegar.
Which is yours?

The cabbage salad I make is not mixed with anything else except enough green chillies, onion rings and the dressings. There is a procedure to make this salad.
We have a dressing for cucumber that has a touch of ground coconut in it Salad without tomatoes is no salad at all (lol) Ofcourse the cabbage salad is unique. It does not have tomatoes.

@louievill The cabbage is shredded, marinated in salt and squeezed. Then onion rings, salad dressing, chopped green chillies and chopped coriander leaves are added. This stands alone with no other additions.

@allknowing when we use cabbage it becomes coleslaw salad and we put that in our sandwich like hamburger to make it healthier , the sandwich may also sometimes contain slices of cucumber and tomatoe, you can add more mustard, ketchup or mayo depending on your taste.

I don't make my own dressings...
I like ranch dressing but also like Greek (which is basiclally oils and feta).
There is a dressing I've used before on pasta salad. I can't think of what it's called now...

There are several dressings that are available in the market but I like to make my own. Many of them could be quite interesting and may not be available where I live.
