Is there anyway that we can find out who the actual participants of the electoral college are?
just my opinion, but If we can't have the final say in who gets elected then at least grant us the right to vote for the people who are going to elect the next Chiefs and Commanders.
I'm beginning to think that the American voting process is a sham.

The electors are chosen by the parties in each state. They choose who they think will stack the deck for the candidate they want. I do believe our election process isn't working very well. There's something very wrong when the people have to choose between a buffoon and a crook.

That makes so much sense. I guess I'm so baffled because the idea of a group of intelligent politicians making such bad choices is confusing. I agree that the issues in our govt are evident. Maybe they know something that we don't know and choose based on a whole other set of factors unavailable to us.

Remember, the buffoon and the crook were chosen by direct vote of the people in the primaries and caucuses all over the nation. It was not the Electoral College who gave us those two. It was our friends and neighbors who voted for them in the primaries. The Electoral College was simply left with two options, vote in the one with the most electoral votes, or break with tradition and choose whoever they thought best for the job. They went with option A.
It was the masses of uninformed primary voters and caucus goers who you should blame for giving us a choice betwee DT and HC.

You have raised a good question. I would say wiki it and see what you can find out.

I like that idea, but I lack confidence in wiki's credibility.
