Otherwise known as Obama Care, and it still being in effect? Is it benefiting you and your family, or become hard to survive? Do you wish it could have changed to something else this past week, or glad it stayed?
Personally, I feel it hurts more people than it helps. Especially the Elderly, most disabled, and families, as well as the Servicemen. Many jobs have also been lost because of this as places cannot afford to pay their employees Health insurance anymore.
Personally for me, I have Pros and Cons. I am disabled and on SSD. It was way more expensive with Medicare to be on that than to be on another Health plan especially since you have to pay for a plan to help when you see a Doctor and more for prescription coverage than working people with jobs usually do. Luckily I am married, so I am now on my husbands Insurance again which for us is a lot cheaper and a Huge savings.
Would it being abolished have hurt? Maybe since they were saying pre existing conditions like Diabetes would not be covered, that would have been rough. But at the same time the coverage offered anymore with the Lack of care from a lot of the Medical field and help offered not sure this would have been any different for a lot of them.
Personally I wish Medical here in the US could go back to what it used to be when getting help was so much easier, and did not have to break you. Other countries have a lot better options and help and they really should be lucky. But for now we have what we have, and hope somehow it can be something that can benefit many without having to find more ways to get help even if you make more than most.

I can glad to live in Canada and have the health care that we have here. It may not be perfect but it works and I am thankful for it.

Yes you do have a lot better Health Care there than what we are offered here in the US, and the US could learn a lot from the way you work yours.

@andriaperry That is the sad part. Makes no sense, and then the Fines they want to charge just because you do not have, or cannot afford insurance is unreal as well.

Health insurance is a joke. Very expensive and you have to pull teeth to get a decent doctor who really cares about you.

When I needed insurance I looked at the ACA marketplace, I opted for COBRA which cost me $900 a month, the plan from Obama would have cost me slightly less but had a much higher deductible and no dental. In my case, it was a bad joke.

I can relate. The issue is Medicare as well. Expensive coverage for those who worked all their life while others know how to use TN e system and make over $40,000 a yr besides rent put to musicians a place and earn another $1000 a month or more and get Free medical and prescription.

@KrauseHome We are retired now and n Medicare. I have an Advantage program with United healthcare which works great. My colonoscopy cost me a little over $200 compared to the $800 deductible I had previously. I am pleased with my Medicare coverage and it cost me the normal $110 a month and an addition $25 for the prescription coverage.

I was happier before it, when I worked, we had an option if we wanted health care or not, Then with Obama care the company was forced to provide it to people so they cut hours back, so people could't get it. The cost was too much on the employer. I don't really see any good it has done for me, so I don't really like it..

You're one of the Lucky ones then. I had to go on my husbands insurance as it is way cheaper than what Medicare was costing me by being disabled.

Well, they were trying to change this and no one wants to change it. So instead those who cannot afford it and cannot get help are left being fined big fines while what the doctors will offer many for Health Care is a lot worse than what it used to be.

Before obamacare, our private insurance was affordable and the coverage was excellent. Now we can barely afford the premiums and the coverage is so poor we can't afford our meds. My kids always had excellent dental insurance. Now they can't even see a dentist for anything other than minor issues. Obamacare is theft. It is a form of taxation and extortion. It is unconstitutional. The government can not legally force you to purchase something you do not want, and in essence, that is how obamacare works. Also, the government needs to get out of the market all together. The free market system will work perfectly if allowed to.
