Growing Apart From People You love

Have you ever outgrown someone that you thought you would want to be around forever? It’s kind of disheartening. Has anyone of you stuck around and had your relationship rekindled with someone they grew apart from? I always hear that this is possible, but I’ve never personally never seen it.
