I have every intention of watching this Hulu Original when it comes out. Have you seen previews for it? If not, I'll link to the trailer below.
This show is based off of a book. Offred is a Handmaid in a commander's home. Her main responsibility is to produce an heir for the man and his wife. She dreams of what her life once was, before women were shunned and fired from their jobs and subsequently made to suffer at the hands of men's laws.
I don't know the entirety of the plot but it does sound as if it would be interesting.
The book was written in '85 and republished in the 90's.
I'll post a link to the trailer and a link to the goodreads page for the book.

Is Hulu available in the Phillippines? The trailer is for the show that Hulu will be presenting in April.

I don't know who will pick it up over here, as we don't have Hulu, but hopefully some channel will.
As it stands I have read the book. It was a couple of years or so ago so my memory of what happens at the end is hazy. I do remember that it's uncomfortable reading, and sad.

It's a hulu original so I don't imagine it will be picked up by a television station over there at all.
You could maybe look into VPN? Not exactly the most legal tactic, but it's essentially using a US IP address to watch shows television networks (or in this case streaming services).. .
That tells you a little more about it. IT's not strictly "legal" mind you.

Hulu is another great online streaming service, but blocked in different regions. Learn how to unblock huli and flawlessly stream it in UK, and from any location outside US.

I've heard about the book, but haven't read it yet. I will have to add it to the to read list.

It will go on my "To Be Read" list as well. Though I intend to watch the series before reading the book. I do hope the series doesn't ruin the book for me.
You know how that goes. The book is 99.999 times better than the t.v. adaptation, but if you watch the t.v. version first...
WHen you do read it, consider writing a review here would you?
