Peyton Sawyer was one of the three main female characters on the show One Tree Hill. She was a lover of both music and art which is probably why she has always been my favorite character on the show and just one of my favorite characters in general. She is raised by her father who is in the coast guard and spends a lot of time away from her, which means Peyton is left to basically raise herself. It's interesting to see a young girl go through that, she is best friends with Brooke Davis who was played by Sophia Bush and has an off again on again relationship with Lucas Scott before they finally get married during a later season. Her story was the most interesting to me, maybe it was the love of music, maybe it was the fact that she was adopted, maybe it was just how Hilarie Burton played her- but she was for sure high on the list of my favorite tv characters.
