Another Photo From The Museum

United States

Virginia is a very historical state for so many reasons. The early colonies, the Indian tribes, the Revolutionary War, the American Civil War and so much more. Museums are full of artifacts from several hundred years of American history. Of course, American history can't be compared to the thousands of years of European history and the history of other cultures in the world. But for Americans, most of us are delighted that such good records have been recorded and preserved for us and seeing these artifacts in many museums is very interesting.

@IreneVincent Recently opened (I think) is an exhibition of goodies dug up during the CrossRail construction. Looking forward to getting to that

Virginia is an awesome state for history lovers! I've been to several museums and battlefield parks, and still haven't nearly visited them all. Mostly I'm just interested in the Civil War, but some of the other museums are interesting too. That's true about European history. Imagine going to their museums, with thousands of years of artifacts!

American Civil War history is promoted all over this area. I'm within walking distance tof Petersburg which is where a lot of the "Lincoln" movie was filmed. Also, right now film crews are in Petersburg filming "Mercy Street" for its next season. We can visit the sets and see all the actors on the street in Olde Towne Petersburg

My photos usually come out sideways when I use my iPad. Sorry about that.

@IreneVincent Oh, I didn't know they had an aquarium in Virginia beach! I would have liked to go there when I was down there a few years ago for an air show.

Since you took a photo of Pocahontas, that must be John Smith.
