What was the first movie that you saw in theaters?

I don't know exaclty what the very first one that I saw was, but the first one I remember right now is Anastasia. I think it was a Disney movie. It was animated, and there was a rat or a bat or some kind of white bald creature who was Anastasia's friend.
I have no idea what the actual movie was about, but I do remember us going to get candy before the movie at Rite Aid and sneaking it in to the theater. We bought that gum that has zebra stripes on it, and it was so stale.

I believe the first movie I saw in the theater was Batman with Michael Keaton.

Television was really late coming to South Africa (mid-1970s), so when I was taken to a cinema for the first time, it was a totally new experience to me. My first movie was "The Wizard of Oz". I found it really frightening and wasn't keen to go to another movie after that. Unfortunately I eventually developed a taste for the movies and television and now watch far too much.

I don't remember but it might be a kung fu movie of Jackie chan. Its the usual movie being shown when I was a kid in our local cinema. If we want something much better we have to visit the city which is 3 hours away.
