Sleepless nights

Lately if seems like I can stay awake all night. I normally go to bed quite late and yet I have difficulty going to sleep. I am thinking I should sleep during the day and work during the nights since I am wide awake. Perhaps it is the result of the changing season, but I do hope to get my routine back. What do you do when you have sleepless nights?

I try to nap during the day when I can if I don't sleep at night. I hope you get some good sleep soon.

I hope so too. It is not bad if you can make up for the lost sleep the next night.

I get like this sometimes. I just have insomnia that increases a lot when I am stressed haha It is also getting warmer so I want to stay away from the heat as much as I can. If I really need to get to sleep I drink warm tea with milk, knocks me out haha

Warm tea with milk? Wouldn't have thought it would knock you out but it is worth a try. Thanks for the tip

I am glad you said that because that is what I am always tempted to do but I try to sleep instead with no luck. I too don't have to get to a job next day so that would be something to try. Thanks for the input

We both drink some Sleeptime tea before bed and take some L-tryptophan (available in health food stores or Amazon). It is a natural sleep aid. It helps a lot.

when i had graveyard shifts in the hoepital, then had my off day for 3 days, i would not sleep the whole day, then i sleep at night. that way, my sleeping pattern resumed as expected.

I think it is important to have a sleep pattern and I think that is part of my problem

@Freelanzer yes that is true, especially if you work at night.

Someone online information was shared that Evening Primrose will help with this. Not sure if it works, but we do change our sleeping habits with the season.
