Oh! Happy Day!

Yesterday, I had telephoned the Pocahontas State Park Office, to ask if they had any post cards for sale and I got an answering machine, so I left a message. This morning, the man in the office called me back to tell me that YES they did have two different post cards for sale. One was a photo of a pretty bridge over the lake there in the park and the other was a scene from the swimming pool with several people swimming and/or walking around the pool. So I drove over there right away. It's just 11 1/2 miles away and it's a pleasant drive on a curvy road through the woods. I purchased 15 post cards of the bridge. Since the post cards will be addressed to persons in different countries, they will work out well. I was so happy to find them and they were only 35 cents each. Yaaaay!!! I'll try to post a photo of the post card later.

I usually try to avoid duplicate postcards, although it can be difficult in places with a very limited choice. Of course in reality it is really academic since they go to different people.

Yes, that's what I thought. I addressed FOUR of them today which are going out to Russia, Germany, Turkey and one in the USA. So, these persons will never know that I sent the same post card to all of them.

I enjoy postcards, love to receive and collect them. I always buy a postcard of the places that I visit.

I have lots of postcards that I have purchased on my travels, but I want to keep them for myself. What I usually did was mail one to myself from whatever country I was visiting, but sometimes I couldn't get to a post office.

They won't last long though. I addressed four of the cards today and will mail them soon. It's pouring down the rain today so I'm not planning to go out.

@IreneVincent Oh well. It's rainy over here. Good idea to wait until it's sunny outside.

Yes, me too, but they will go fast. I addressed FOUR today. I can always go back and get the rest of them that he had, but I'm trying to find some different ones.

yes. This is quite interesting. I want to try it. But, in India, people will be surprised to see me purchasing postcards.
