Nice gift in the mail...

This afternoon I was coming back from walking Angel and was just going up the ramp when a young man walked up with an Amazon box.
I thought, Oh, man, what did I order that I forgot I'd ordered?
Upon opening the box, I found a box of stationery and some pens, the gift note said that it was from one of my new pen pals. 
That was certainly a nice surprise !

@xstitcher ~I love getting surprise packages in the mail. I have always been kind of a loner, never had children, and my remaining siblings and I rarely communicate, so I don't get many surprise gifts anymore. One benefit of the disease that's taking away my short term memory is that I sometimes forget that I have ordered stuff so it's arrival is a surprise. (By the way, I designed a very detailed spreadsheet that tells me when my bills are due and exactly what I have paid and spent. I designed it so that anyone could just look at it and know the current state of my finances. Using this, I can keep track of every purchase, so I would remember things that I've ordered when I open my spreadsheet up.)
