You mean The Walking Dead isn't real?

My husband and I have never liked gory movies, but for some reason got into The Walking Dead. I'm bothered by some of the language. I know the whole thing is fantasy, but wouldn't you think SOMEONE would notice that Carl holds his rifle on his right shoulder despite the fact that he is BLIND IN THAT EYE AND WEARS AN EYE PATCH!!! Let's be a little more aware of technicalities, folks. Do your homework.

@1creekgirl ~I'm not really familiar with that show. I would imagine that maybe the producers of the show wanted that actor to play the role of Carl. Isn't that the show with Jeffrey Dean Morgan? He played Denny (a patient of love interest for Izzy) on Grey's Anatomy. I hated that storyline, but he is an attractive and popular actor. If he plays Carl, that might be why.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan joined the cast this season as the vicious and murderous villain Negan. Carl is the teenage song of the hero Rick.

I watch it every week. There are somethings that I question about it but overall it is a pretty good show. The violence sometimes is a bit much for me.

The language bothers me more than the violence!

But at least the violence is not gratuitous. There is a point even with Negan's actions.

Sometimes I'm watching something and I keep thinking how unrealistic the situation is. Like if such and such were smart enough to do this, how the heck did they not notice that?!

@AmbiePam ~I think about that, too. I often comment that the actor should have done this or that, then I realize that these things aren't in the script.

You're right. My husband sees a lot of the mistakes.

I had seen some flaws in the last three episodes of Season 7.

I think sometimes it boils down to an actor's preference.. It might be more comfortable for him on that shoulder for instance.. or maybe it has to do with lighting, the boom (mic) and the camera positioning too... I don't know... I've caught things on other shows and get annoyed by it, but there's nothing we can do.

@1creekgirl Well yes.. but I must admit sometimes it takes a second watch through for me to catch it.

Oh I would have never noticed that! Yes, I am not into gory movies either but somehow got hooked on this show. I've seen every episode. It seems to me there are a lot of inconsistencies, probably because they are making it up as they go along!

I think a lot of it is based on the comic book series, but there are only so many ways you can kill a zombie.

@1creekgirl apparently the comic book series veers off and kills off different characters than the TV version. It features different ones too as the TV version panders to the popularity of the characters whereas the comics don't. It's weird.
