Finally saw this Okra Flower

Philippines
April 3, 2017 1:48am CST
It's been a year since I've seen something like this. This proves that this plant is getting strong and will soon grow pods afterwards. The last one literally died after just growing one okra, but grew taller compare to this one. But least it has survived, there's another but no flowers yet. I recall they were eight of them, now only two of them survived. Actually, I'm pretty bored waiting and preferred to grow something else. Unfortunately, All of my lettuce died. So, I have plenty of space to plant something new.

I hope it doesn't discourage you from planting a lot more @jstory07 the weather can be so unfair. Makes me believe that climate change is for real.

@Letranknight2015 Maybe it was over watered? Hmm According to a grower it takes 53 days to grow. I love romaine lettuce. I use it in salads and sandwiches. They are so yum.

At least you have grown two of them . Just keep planting. Maybe you should read some tips on how to grow them. I don;t have a green thumb and the interest in planting, so plants die with me planting.

@Letranknight2015 You will have a green thumb soon when you always do planting. But you must have the interest.

well, if you are able to grow an okra, i salute you, my friend. that is the only vegetable that i can grow, because i have a 'hot' palm, no green thumb' and the okra is the only vegetable that grew in my garden pot during my elementary years

You are lucky to have good empty space. Try to grow all varieties of flowers and vegetables.

It's our backyard garden here, but some how the soil doesn't cooperate with all the plants, not to mention there are ants all over the place @shivamani10
