I want to watch THE THINNING but it is only available on YouTube Red. If you try to look at it by doing a Google Search, better watch out. Several links to the movie are fake and some of them will hack your computer if you go there. So, don't go there!
If you want to know what the movie is about, the link below is legit. It is a YouTube link that shows you a trailer of the movie, THE THINNING, with two N's . Then an option to get YouTube Red. The offer to get YouTube Red is a good one. I can't afford it myself but you might be able to the price they are asking and if you do it is an exclusive movie that only YouTube Red offers you. So for those willing to go for the 30 day trial and accept their offer to join YouTube Red at around I think it is 9.99 a month, it might be a good thing for you to take a look at:
Imagine living in a time where the only way to thin out the population due to the extreme is to give students a test and the ones who pass with a good grade live and the ones who fail or just get a very low grade on it, get killed. It may not be available there to buy on dvd. They usually do not put new series' up for sale until they have ended and provided rights to sell to whoever wants to sell a series that is already been aired in it's entirety. I do not think it is available via Amazon.

Something like it. I think it is a copy cat film for sure, but it does strike me as a potential possibility in a world that is run mainly by a sadistic dictator, not a democratic government.
