Bad Karma: Fault Finder's Head Teacher

I went out to do some errands. After I had done it all, I decided to brisk walk going back home. While I was walking, I saw my former head teacher in one of the biggest academies in the Philippines. It wasn't a good thing because he was walking with a cane with an assistance. The condition is so familiar. He had a hemiplegia and affecting the right side of his body. I anticipate that he had a brain attack. I felt bad for him despite the shortcomings he did to me three years ago. He was a head teacher who loves to find faults. I was a victim of his unjustifiable evaluation to be considered the best teacher in the department. Regardless, I managed to talk to him and gave professional advice on how to deal with his condition. I am a Physiotherapist and wanted to help him to recover from being a stroke patient. I don't keep grudges and this is time for him to know that not everyone will put things against him. In fact, it wasn't only me who had some sentiments about his wrongdoing before. I am sure some of these people will be happy to see what happened to him. Image Credit: pixabay.com

oh, it is good he can still walk with assistance. so, he does not have hemiparesis? it is more difficult if he has hemiplegia because he might drag his paralyzed foot along and his arm would be atrophied now. can he still speak even though slurred? or is he aphasic now?

It takes years for him to recover for being hemiplegic patient. There are an evident of atrophy on his limbs because of the condition. It is a good thing that he is aphasic and the speech was not compromised, While walking, I can see he has foot drop and he needs to use stir up bandage to prevent from a foot injury. I missed working in a rehab. But I can't go back with such job. I am on the practical side. It is best to have the knowledge and be shared to others.

@Shavkat right, kabsat, and i think we, in the medical field, should somehow share our knowledge on terminologies used by us, like hemiparesis, hemiplegia, aphasia, foot drop, and other terms that may be new to those not working in the medical field.

@ridingbet That's a good thing to be in the medical field. We can also be an educator.

I think you did the right thing, if you allow me to quote from scripture " Psalm 66:18 says " if i regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear me" so I think it is wise for us not to hold a grudge so God would bless as more, hear and answer our prayers.

I agree. More blessings to come for not keeping grudges to our heart. Besides, I don't want to have a heart disease.

@Shavkat heart disease and a lot of other diseases could be caused by hidden anger in our hearts.

I think you were right in your approach. As it is this all happened in the past and it's best if we forget about them. I'm sure he was glad that you were giving him advises. Is there any chance of him getting better

I think he is. But the function of his limbs should be re-trained and be functional.

I think it is better to give than to receive. My granny always says this to me. It is also a good feeling to help others especially like in his condition right now.

I'm so happy that you rose above your previous dislike of him to offer your former teacher true and meaningful advice. This speaks volumes about your character. I have no doubt that some people will indeed rejoice over his poor condition and that is sad because many people do change as they age. Thank you for being above that, and for giving this man help when you felt that he needed it. Kudos to you!

Thank you for the compliment. I think I don't need to have grudges over somebody. It is not healthy to be in this kind of situation.

I know he didn't do good things from the past. People are not perfect. They have some flaws but we just need to broaden our minds and try to understand them. I hope he will recover fast.

@ShifaLk Both of us started to work in the academy at the same time. He was promoted as a head teacher because of nepotism. I am humbly day that he is not as good as me. That's really sucks.
