This "thought starter" is very thought provoking, I think. It’s “rules to live by include…” So, I’m thinking what are some of the rules I should live by?
Jesus said that the two greatest commandments (rules) were: “The first is…You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind and with your whole strength. The second is this. You must love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.”
So, to me, these are the most important rules to live by…
And when you think about “loving your neighbor,” what does that include?
It really involves, being kind to ALL people, even if they don’t live next door to you. Again Jesus explained this concept when he was asked “Who really is my neighbor?” Jesus told the story about the “Good Samaritan.” (Luke 10 29-37)
And if you are kind to all people, you would not treat them badly or steal from them or harm them in any way. Think about it!
If all persons in the world lived by these two rules, there would be no injustice in the world, no war, no one going hungry.
People would make it a point to help others in need and strive to live in peace with everyone.
It also means that a person would live by good morals. What a different world it would be.

Here is a link to a video you might enjoy watching. It’s about five minutes long and very insightful. It shows how a person can actually IMPROVE his own life by appreciating what the Bible has to say.
What do you think are the BEST rules to live by?

Yes, that is a good rule. However, there is nothing wrong with sharing helpful information with others, when it might help them to live an even happier life.

Yes, that is what has been called the "Golden Rule" mentioned in the Bible at Matthew 7:12
