I was looking over some news articles today and found this. A Canadian man was fined $26,500 by an Alberta court for using more than 100 helium balloons to take a lawn chair flight over Calgary. Provincial court Judge Bruce Fraser heard Daniel Boria, 27, who pleaded guilty in December to dangerous operation of an aircraft, strapped more than 100 balloons to a lawn chair in July 2015 and flew 2-1/2 miles over Calgary. Judge Bruce Fraser called Boria's stunt "dumb and dangerous" and "unconscionably stupid." He says he has no regrets. I am thinking it may have been kind of fun. Thoughts?
Daniel Boria quoted John F. Kennedy's moon speech and compared himself to the Wright brothers to explain why he tied more than 100 helium balloons to a lawn chair and floated above Calgary. Boria, 27, today was ordered to pay $26,500 in fines after pleadin

It seems it was pretty dangerous. His plan was to fly over the Calgary Stampede grounds where a mishap could have put thousands of people in harm's way. I am glad that $20,000 of the fine went to a charity of his choice.

Even though it would seem kind of fun, i am happy that they did not choose to reward stupid, the fine should help to ensure that other people don't do the same thing.

I think it is dangerous to fly balloons with a lawn chair. We cannot bring the life of individuals if the lawn chair will hit them.
