Purchasing things which we do not use

My friend is absent nowadays He was speaking with me regularly over a phone. Last week when during our conversation he told me that his daughter is residing in Arabia and she is very much fond of purchasing silver articles. I really wondered why a lady purchases silver articles than purchasing them in Gold. I am having the weakness of purchasing silver. Every month I will be purchasing something or other. I became a regular customer and even if I find deficient of the amount he would say 'ok. pay me afterwards' which I do not like. I go home and keep his money aside. I generally pay him on 4th of every month. These are small purchases. So far I accumulated some articles for the domestic purpose also which include Water glasses, trays, Jars, cups and saucers etc., My wife says it is only my madness to purchase the things which we do not use at all. But, I can not resist my temptation and as soon as I get money and straight away go there and purchase some. Sometimes, I think she is right. It is purchasing a white elephant. Do you have any such weakness guys?
