to get a new job. All of us who have been unemployed know that. I have not been working since 2009. I have over 24 years experiences from the same area, and it should be an advantage. But in Sweden, not many business will hire someone who is over 50 years old. Instead they prefer to hire young people, not older than 25, without any kids, (if you as a girl get pregnant, you can get fired),if you´ve gone many years at the university, it´s also an advantage. Many of us doesn´t like to go to school. At work, I prefer a mix of different ages and both sex. You can allways learn something from each other.

That is very unfortunate how businesses in Sweden discriminate people's ages. Here in the US there are very strict laws prohibiting this when hiring employees. Is there a law that is in effect like this in your country?

I think we have a law that says it´s illegal to discriminat your age. But I´m not sure that it really works

Wow that is sad.. it's kinda of the same here where all they want to hire is young people and they wonder why no one stays.. I have seen the young people come in work get there first check and quite.. Humm makes you wonder.. but if you are pregnant and the company fires you, you can sue them.

Take every opportunity to grow so when you will compete, you are grown enough to endure competition.
