Favorite 80's Dance Songs #10 - "Hallucination Generation"

In the 1980's, Colorado Springs had a vibrant club scene (Denver, just 75 miles away, even moreso.) Being in our early 20's, my friends and I frequented them, where they played a mix of both mainstream and alternative music. Hence, this Favorite 80's Dance Songs series. Because the 80's were the greatest! (People from the 60's can stop rolling their eyes now.) These are the ones that got me on the floor the most. #10 kicks things off with "Hallucination Generation" by The Gruesome Twosome. The Gruesome Twosome was actually three guys: Lord Soloman Pearbrook, Per Martinson, and Bertran Burgalat. There is no Wikipedia page for them, no Facebook page, and, in fact, there is a rowdy trash rock band from Michigan now calling themselves The Gruesome Twosome. So who knows? Only Pearbrook (also known as DJ Morpheous) and Martinson played on "Hallucination Generation," the title track from the band's 1989 debut. The industrial dance tune proved to be quite a dancefloor packer, even reaching Top 40 status on Billboard's Club chart. "Hallucination Generation" is one of the 80's great, lost dance tunes. Enjoy! Not heard this one, but it did sound early 80s, to me, not as late as it was

You're right, it's like they incorporated that into their sound.

@Ronrybs - I know, it's like each decade sounds so different.

@teamfreak16 This is one of those things I find quite fascinating, the little differences as a musical era evolves

And the main thing about the 80s was that there was a 12" club remix for just about everything. (Says the person who had the 12" remixes of "Wild Wild Life.")

It didn't sound familiar, but I'd bet I heard it at some point in a club somewhere.

It would've made a great title for a 90's rave tune.
