During the night we are advised not to drink. So, the last drink can be the one you take after you have your dinner. You may wake up because of the need to urinate once or twice. If you have to go to the toilet to urinate more often, then, it is said, you may have problems with your prostate and other diseases related to that. Consulting your doctor can be an advice. However, some people prefer not to see a doctor for personal reasons. They want to eat or drink anything natural that will not have side effect. What's your suggestion?

There are some natural fruit juice to help people with that unless the case is a serious one, going to a doctor might be best.

@yanzalong Tea is diuretic, it might worsen the situation. I have heard cranberry juice could help.

At times frequent urination at night (Nocturia) are due to medical conditions, So it is best if you seek medical advice. But there are some ways to prevent it, You should restrict fluids at certain time, especially before going to bed, You should elevate your legs during the day, or you can wear compression stockings to allow fluid circulation.

@yanzalong ~I urinate a lot! I have a dry mouth and am always sipping on something. I had an enlarged prostate, too. I lived and just dealt with it for a long time before finally telling my doctor. It turned out that I had an enlarged prostate, luckly not cancerous, but it did manage to crush my bladder, leaving me with only a half functioning bladder. Trust me, if you urinate a lit, see a doctor. I use to joke that I never thought that I would be a "peeanist".

You may feel the need to urinate a lot but the urine does not come out as expected. This happens during the day time as well.

I eat dinner around 7pm and go to bed about 1:30 am so having my last drink at dinner is not realistic. I have found the following works: 1) I do not drink anything containing caffeine or sugar after dinner. 2) I have my last drink about three hours before going to bed. This is the amount of time that works for me, but you may have to adjust this time according to how your body works. Experiment to see how much time works for you. 3) I use the restroom immediately before going to bed.
