What Famous Person Would You Like to Meet?

I have already met a few famous persons, but I was wondering if any of you would like to meet a famous person? Or maybe, you already have? Who have you already met? And who would you like to meet, if you had the opportunity? I have met and spoken with Raymond Burr who played “Perry Mason” on TV. I have also met and spoken to Mario Lopez. I have his autographed picture. I have also met and even dined with Victor Kiam and his wife, Ellen several times. Victor Kiam owned the Remington Razor Company and also the New England Patriots for a short time. He also owned the jewelry company that I worked with for many years. Lady Remington Jewelry. I also knew Victor’s son, Tory, who took over the company when Victor died in 2001. Here is a photo of me with Tory.

I have met a few actors and singers, mostly local celebrities. Oh, I've met Manny Pacquiao, back when he was still a boxer and not a politician. I'd like to meet President Obama.

Good for you. It's fun to be able to say that you've met someone famous, isn't it?

I have met a few people in my lifetime. I met many of the New York Giants as my friend was the Chaplin for the team many years ago and I went to dinner and church with some of them. I met many teenage heart throbs back in the 60's like Fabian, (he actually got ink on my hand when I got his autograph), Frankie Avalon, a few female singing groups back then. Every Sunday we had an American Bandstand type dance in New Jersey with many live singing groups. I helped a few of them get dressed before the shows. I saw Elvis in person in New York and I also went to quite a few rock and roll shows back in the day. I saw President Eisenhower and President Nixon in person in New Jersey. I saw Barry Manilow at least 5 times. I was in the elevator with Doug Flute and Mike Helton (Nascar president) at different times.

We got to see a lot of performers live at King's Dominion and Busch Gardens here in Virginia. They still have different entertainers and bands sometimes. One show I really enjoyed was the Beach Boys and Helen Reddy was in concert also. She did a great show. I don't know what ever happened to her. I'll have to do some research on her. Also, when I was in Las Vegas several times, I saw several famous persons. I had forgotten about those. It was quite a few years ago. I saw Eddie Arnold, and then there were the Temptations, The Platters and several other bands. I've been to Vegas four times. The show I really enjoyed there though was the Cirque de Soleil. It was fantastic.

@IreneVincent I forgot about the Beach Boys. I saw them as so many concerts in the summer. I saw many groups too as I lived in New Jersey and that was close to New York and Philadelphia, the hub of so many oldie concerts.

@ramapo17 Yes, Philadelphia was not that far from me either in West Virginia and we had a lot of rock bands come into WV and play at different clubs.

I've met a few actors, which is nice, but there are a few historical ones I wouldn't mind having a chat with. I remember those commercials, 'So I bought the company!'

I really can't think on a famous person I would like to meet. Maybe Charles Berry.

I would have liked to meet Elvis Presley - even though I wasn't around when he first hit the music scene. I have met famous singers from our region. I have also met and sat at table with Prime Ministers.

Funny that you should mention Elvis. My daughter and I are going to see an Elvis impersonator Saturday night. We've seen him before and we think he is really good.
