Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook is learning that what happened in the regular season with his record of 42 triple-doubles will not mean anything but a great year in basketball if the Thunder do not have a great playoff run that will begin on Sunday at the Toyota Center in Houston Texas.
Westbrook is a candidate to win the Most Valuable Player Award this year. His goal is lead his Thunder teammates to the National Basketball Association Finals.
The sports reporters gauge the success of a basketball player for winning National Basketball Association Championships.
Westbrook has yet to collect a NBA Championship ring in his career with the National Basketball Association that began in 2008 as a first round draft choice out of UCLA by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Thunder versus the Houston Rockets will feature Westbrook versus his former teammate James Harden.

I seriously doubt the Thunder can upset Houston who has too much firepower and Harden negates Westbrook.

The Thunder are a young team this year compared to last year. Rockets should win the series.
