I Was Delighted to See this Waterfall Again

The photo shows the gym where I work out in Paso Robles. They call it Kennedy Adventure. It's one of the many Kennedy Fitness clubs in our county. It is one of the newest, and it was built just a few years ago after I moved here. I've always loved the waterfall at the entrance, but when the drought was declared, they turned if off. The City had turned off its own fountain in the City Park and restricted water use for anything but necessities. A few days ago, after the rainfall totals started looking good, they declared the drought over in our country and the day after that the waterfall was back. I look forward to seeing it each time I go to the club now. Does your area have a waterfall? Is it natural or man-made like this one?

It looks great! Unfortunately I don't have any waterfalls nearby, but I've been to some really magnificent waterfall scenic spots.

One of the most amazing spots to see waterfalls is Plitvica, a national park in Croatia full of lakes and waterfalls. My husband took me to see it and we had almost the entire park to ourselves. It was a weekday.

That is beautiful. We have many natural waterfalls in our area. There is a beautiful one that is only a ten minute walk from my place.

I did live by a waterfall for a bit when I lived in Yorkshire. It was called Heber's Ghyll in Ilkley. I still miss it. Your watefall looks lovely.

There is actually a tiny one in the river here, too, but it's hardly ever active. I'd forgotten about it.

I remember one in Forest Falls in the mountains we used to see when we went to camp, but that's not exactly in LA.

There aren't any natural waterfalls in my immediate area, but since I live between the mountains and the fall line, there are plenty within a short drive in either direction. There are plenty of fountains and water features nearby. During water shortages, they have been turned off and watering restrictions put in place. During those times, if people had a well, lots of signs would pop up announcing that the yard was watered or the fountain operated by well water so they would not be fined.

Our watering restrictions have been lifted except we can't water within 24 hours of a rain. WE don't need to anyway. Fortunately, it rained yesterday and today, but we can expect warm and dry days the rest of this week.

How nice that it is back! We have many waterfalls near my place up north, but down here in the desert they wouldn't stand a chance unless they were inside a building. Yes, there used to be one with color changing lights in a restaurant here, but it went out of business.

I have one installed in our garden I do not switch it on a daily basis but occasionally.
A water fall in a garden is a soothing experience, specially when one strolls around in the garden.
